Here's something worth writing about, as I'm sure few are wondering--But the word is out TO PRETTY MUCH EVERYONE! I'm Engaged, To the most wonderful, perfect, amazing guy I have ever met in my life and I couldn't be happier :) Bet you didn't see that one coming!;)
Well here's how this all went down..I planned this vacation to San Diego with my parents and my younger brother and sister, kinda last minute so Brandon( eventhough i begged and bribed him to come)..."Couldn't get off work" ya...RIGHT! Little did I know he was sitting at home planning out things for this little surprise he had planned.
I was in Cali..hanging out with my mom shopping and just relaxing on the beach and when Brandon drove 6 hours there and happened to make it in the room next to me I even shared a few phone calls with him..Little did I know we also shared a wall, haha how he pulls these things off i have no idea!
But Saturday night (7-18-09) at around 7 we went to the beach just to relax and watch the tide come in...without getting sunburned AGAIN! Yea apparently no one believes in the use of sunscreen anymore..Or we just never learn! Anyways...my mom was being all paranoid about me getting my clothes wet, and here I was like whatever it's not like we're doing anything special..and then all of the sudden she's in this major rush to get off the beach. I'm clueless right..so I just go along with it not thinking anything of it!
Well 7:20 we arrive at Solana Beach, the sun is setting and its beautiful..It was quite a trek down the long stairway and we all kind of stopped to look out at the ocean as I turned to go down the second step I see a very familiar person sitting with their back turned on the last step..Boy was I excitedd!
I went running down the 2nd set of stairs going "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERe?!" I was relieved when he turned around confirming that it really was Brandon, Plus I had missed him like CRAZY! He handed me a note that referred to our conversation earlier in the day..it said " You know how I said I only loved you 96.78%? Well take ten steps and see how much my love grew. Ten steps later I pulled a bottle out of the sand that again gave me a percentage, and again said his love for me was growing....The final bottle led me to a blanket where I imagined we would sit to watch the sunset together. But Brandon had other plans! He's so unpredictable...but always surprising?!idk. WEll he pulled up the blanket and a box laid underneath, immediately i began shaking uncontrollably.
After a bit of a struggle I finally got the box opened...and I saw the ring and was just in shock...He got on his knee and asked me and in his words"I attacked him"...I like to say it was just a huge hug...& of course I said yes!!!!! who wouldnt?!
WHAT CAN I SAY??! I LOVE HIM MORE THAN ANYTHING!
